Bexley at the London Youth Games
The London Youth Games is Europe's largest annual youth sports event, bringing together young athletes from every London borough to compete across a wide range of sports.
Together with Burnt Ash HC, we run the girls and boys hockey for Team Bexley. We train together for a few weeks, and then have a day out competing in a mini-tournament at the international stadium in Stratford (the London 2012 Olympics venue).
Ever year, the Mayor of Bexley comes down to lend the team her support. The highlight is playing on the same blue hockey pitch as the England and Team GB players 😍
