ENTRY INFORMATION

Download the following documents and return the entry form to Alex Webster:

The league this season kicks off on the 30th September, so applications in before then please. Teams handed in late will start scoring the Saturday after. You can enter by emailing your team (see entry form). It costs £5 for one team.

Winners and Losers

Trophies and / or prizes will be awarded to both winner and losers in various categories (yet to be decided and dependant on the number of entries) and will be awarded at The Club Dinner 2007.

Tracking Your Team

The plan is to have the fantasy league up on the BBHC website (www.bbhockey.co.uk) and to have this updated weekly with the current league and top scoring players (points wise). The league will also be regularly printed out and put up on the hockey notice board at the club.

Fantasy Hockey: The Rules

  • Your transfer kitty is £40 million
  • You can enter as many teams as you like and each team will cost £5.
  • To add some variety this year you can play a 4-4-2, 4-3-3, or a 3-4-3 formation, including your choice of any goalkeeper available.
  • For the outfield 10 players you can pick whomever you like but you must not pick more than 2 players from any one team (I.e. no more than two 1st team players). Remember, you cannot exceed the £40 million transfer budget.
  • All players receive 4pts for every Saturday that they play. If a player does not play they do not receive any points. Points are only awarded for league games (not friendlies or cup games) the veterans (not being in a league) will be awarded points for the friendlies they play on the weekends when league games are being played.
  • If a player plays more than one game a Saturday he is still only awarded 4pts and he will score points for the higher XI game played.
  • A player will be awarded an extra 4pts for each game that he umpires.
  • Forwards will be awarded 5pts for every goal scored. If they score a hat-trick in a game they will be awarded an additional 5pts. All other players (including goalkeepers) will be awarded 7pts for each goal scored and an additional 7pts for a hat-trick.
  • Goalkeepers and defenders both receive 3pts for keeping a clean sheet. For each goal that is conceded 1pt will be deducted from the 3pts awarded.
  • If a goal keeper saves a penalty flick he sis awarded an extra 5pts.
  • If a player receives a yellow card in a game he is deducted 5pts. If he is awarded a red card he is deducted 20pts.
  • Players score points relating to the positions been given, regardless of where they have actually played during the game.
  • In the Christmas break when no league games are being played, transfers are allowed to be made. These transfers cost £1 each. During this transfer period the players available will be updated to include any new players to the club and any players forgotten (sorry!).
