Colts - The Jack Petchey Foundation Awards
We're pleased to inform you that BBHC has been accepted by the Jack Petchey Foundation to join their awards scheme. This will enable the Colts' section to recognise and reward young people in our club for their achievements, and not neccesarily those who are the best at things. For example, they can be young people who have put in a lot of time and effort into their participation in BBHC. Each award comes with a grant that can be spent on buying items on a "Wish list" for the Colts' section. This list is made up of suggestions by our young people.
Who is Jack Petchey?
Jack Petchey was born in July 1925 in the East End of London. From a background
with very few advantages he became a prominent businessman and property developer.
In 1999, he created a foundation which gives grants to programmes and projects
that benefit young people aged 11 - 25. The Foundation is eager to help young
people take advantage of opportunities and play a full part in society.
Who decides the winners?
